There are three series of paintings represented here. The newest series is an exercise in drawing a portrait without leaving the canvas called “freehand faces”. Drawn from people I encounter. The concept being the curious notion of love, how it is always around us and how it sometimes defines us. The next is called “what was I thinking.” Inspired by my chaotic, forgetful, multi-tasking, extremely cloudy brain which always seems to fail me, but never fails to amaze me. The last series was painted many years ago are are called “the language of life,” with are wordplays on everyday sayings, phrases and slang that creep into my memory or that I have heard.  These collages are 12×12″
