We traveled to Vermont to pick up the kiddos. They both had a really great summer. I think Mose enjoyed Wiantinaug because he had much more freedom. And Mathilda had a great self esteem moment during her trip, when she single portaged her canoe for a mile. (carried a canoe on her shoulders by herself).
Here is the Mathilda’s traditional run across the camp for our hello hug.
Her first activity was fishing, where she caught a few. Little ones.
Psyched for canoeing.
She learned how to a roll over in her kayak this year. So she was in the kayaking show for all the parents.
We went to get Mose, who was playing tennis. Josh gets a great hello hug.
Mose wrote us that he lost his retainer while at camp. We asked him about it and caught a few great shots during his explanation. Duh, I,I….in my pocket.
MJ finally gets her hello hug!
We went out for creamees!
Last campfire for Songa girls.
Mose gets his baseball K. Which is given to boys who show a daily interest in an activity and who show positive results and sportsmanship.
Mose and Josh took boats out and went fishing in Lake Dunmore. Mose caught a ton of
fish. Here’s a beauty.
Last day formation at Keewaydin.
At Sunday pick up. Waiting for us. “What took you so long?!”
Mj saying bye to staff.
And a tearful hug from cabin buddy Veronica.
We spent an extra day in Middlebury. Walking around town and hunting for more creamees and swimming holes.
MJ finds a waterside.
And more creamees.
